Chapter 19: What the Bible Teaches ABOUT ISRAEL

The Jew is indestructible. As a race the Hebrew people have endured more brutal persecution than any other people who have ever existed, but they have stood by the grave of their inquisitors every time. The Jew is immortal. He has looked upon the rise and fall of empires and peoples from time immemorial—Egypt, Habylonia, Medo-Persia, Assyria, Greece, Carthage, Rome—these have had their day; they have come and gone, but the Jew remains.
“'Mid streams of cruel doubt,
There's one fact always true,
Which all the centuries can't wipe out: 
That great fact is the Jew.”
