Astronomy
ASTRONOMY The very circuit of the planets of our solar system are imperfect and
flawed also. The epistle of Jude speaks of people who profane Christ but live
worldly indulgent ways. He calls them wandering stars. The true stars have a
more true, fixed and dependable place. The planets and comets cannot be used
as a guide and compass for the mariner as he follows the North Pole star. The priests of the medieval church taught the earth was the center of
everything, with the sun and stars going around the earth daily. When
Copernicus, Tycho Brahe and Galileo proved the sun was the real center, with
the earth just revolving once a day, and revolving around the sun once a year,
the Roman hierarchy threatened to burn them at the stake if they did not recant
such heresy. But, there is no natural ratio between the day and the year, evidently more
flaws and imperfections. God hurled Satan out of heaven onto the earth. This
planet is the scene of the great conflict between Christ and Satan. Each one
of us is choosing, taking one side or the other. No one can be neutral and
passive. Those that try that are automatically helping the devil's cause. In the great expanse of the galaxies of the universe, God has probably
created other intelligent beings of every imaginable type but perfect, even as
Adam and Eve were before the Fall. We believe it is only on this planet earth that man has fallen, but that
God with great, real love, sent His only begotten Son, to redeem and make a way
of salvation. Men instead of complaining about sin and temptations, excusing
themselves for their sinful ways, ought to thank God sincerely for His great
unspeakably precious gift. It is a privilege to tread where Jesus trod, to be poor with Him, to see
His great works all around us, and then after a very little while, reign with
Him. He tells us in many ways that time is short. Maranatha. Look and rejoice
for your redemption draws nigh. |
