"For this I kneel before the Father from whom..."
(Fall '86) Dear Christian Friend, For this I kneel before the Father from whom His whole
family upon the earth and in the heavens, derive His name: I pray that out of
His glorious riches He will strengthen you with power through your spirit in
your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts, and I pray that you
be rooted and established in love and power together with all the saints to
grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ and to know
this love which passeth knowledge and be filled in full measure with the wisdom
of God. Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably better than all we can hope
of imagine according to His power that is at work with us, to Him be glory in
the Church of Christ through all generations, forever and ever, Amen. I have been going out less to preach with the brethren and remembering you
in prayer more. The brethren return with glowing reports of the work Christ
continues to do in the hearts of the people, and I trust that you there also
are feeling God's special anointing working power in your midst both in the
services in your area and in your personal witnessing to others. Various new brethren helping with the evangelizing work send their grateful
thanks for the financial help sent. As the means come in we are able to help
more native workers who want to do more for the Lord. This is made up of a
rather large crowd, a modest amount being given to many, rather than as a full
salary support to a few. They are then encouraged to go ahead by faith,
trusting the Lord to move also on the hearts of the people of the area wherever
they witness and preach. I along with a nucleus of others, began this work
years ago by faith without definite salary of pledges, and as increased funds
began to come in, instead of appropriating more for comforts and luxuries we
made every effort to keep personal expenditures to a bare minimum in order that
more tracts be printed, and more evangelists be helped. This is strikingly
effective since the native workers can generally carry on at about one tenth or
even less, of the average American missionaries and evangelists. So, rejoice, God's Word is going out and souls are still being saved, the
poor are fed, the jails are visited and God is also answering prayer
miraculously in healing the ailing according to His will. Now unto Him Who can present you faultless before the Father, be glory and
honor forever. Amen Your missionary servant in the Lord, Orland A. Wolfram |
