July 17, 1970 Our Marriage

There is something sacred about a date
Especially that of choosing a mate
Our marriage is still Holy after these years
Through happiness, child birth, laughter and tears

We both started with God as the Center
We both agreed that Christ is our Mentor
We both asked His guidance in our commitment
Christ leads still through all fulfillment

Our marriage has been blest though ups and downs
The birth of our son was the blessing that crowns
Our devotion to God and the work in His kingdom
Has always been strong; His Spirit our freedom

We betroth again our love to the Lord
And to each other, our deepest afford
No earthly bonds can be broken
Where love through Christ abounds unspoken.
