Alma Temple--A Pillar of Fire Ministry--Denver, Colorado
The Snyder Family
The second Sunday of each month
finds Rev. Cheryl Snyder, an ordained elder,
in the pulpit for the evening service. Rev. Snyder's sermons challenge
the listener to join her in living out a life of more effectual and fruitful
Christianity. She is particularly interested in the present-day ministry
of the Holy Spirit and in how the Old Testament illuminates the New.
Rev. Snyder's daily ministry
is primarily through the Pillar of Fire business office, located in Alma
Temple Annex. There she is involved in matters of stewardship as well as
many other responsibilities for various Pillar of Fire ministries. On Sunday
mornings, she is found in the classroom, teaching the high school class.
Her husband, Rev.
J. Keith Snyder, is a licensed preacher in the Pillar of Fire Church.
A polio survivor, he has been active in many activity and advocacy groups
for the disabled. Recently, post-polio syndrome has required him to step
back from his numerous activities including Sunday School teaching, but
anyone who meets him will observe that his cheerful spirit, his heart for
children, his love of God's chosen people, the Jews, and his concern for
the salvation of souls are entirely intact.
Among their other ministerial
activities, the Snyders operate the monthly Saturday
Movie Ministry at Alma Temple.
The Snyders have two daughters,
Heather
Lavender and Kristin Snyder, and three
granddaughters.
