"Thanks for the answers to prayer."

Orland Wolfram

THANKS FOR THE ANSWERS TO PRAYER.

In meetings, whether is the open air or in churches, opportunity is always given for testimonies, prayer requests. and praises for answers to prayer.

One elderly brother requested prayer for his missing son. He said there are so many crimes, kidnappings and guerrilla activity that he feared for his son who had been missing for nearly a week. He recalled how the daughter of a believer had been kidnapped some time ago, the gang demanding 50,000 Quetzales ransom from the father. Actually the father had been well to do formerly, but had given so much to God's work since his conversion, he no longer had any money in his bank. He had confidence in his new resources, however, better than money, and he asked for special prayers from all the other believers.

After a little while a sister came to the door saying she had been praying at home, had been given a vision showing this daughter kidnapped, although she had not heard of it before, and also saw in the vision the exact house where the girl was held. The praying group began to praise the Lord; the father rushed off to the indicated house. The kidnappers were so surprised that their hiding place was found out that they ran off without firing a shot, and father and daughter returned to the church to thank God for His miracle working power and to thank the brethren for their power in prayer.

Then the elderly brother asked prayers for his own son. The next week he returned also praising the Lord. No dramatic miracle this time, but just great relief. His son came home unharmed and, in fact, had just been unexpectedly called and offered a needed job.
