Pillar of Fire Church

Alice Paige Blue

Donald J. Wolfram

(April 1995)

One Sunday afternoon, many years ago, I was privileged to give the Sunday afternoon sermon in the Assembly Hall at Zarephath. A young woman was in the congregation, as I learned later on, who felt the call during that service to enter the service of the Lord.

As time passed by she became acquainted with a young minister/ home missionary/ broadcaster name Clarke Blue, and eventually they married, and served the Lord in a number of Pillar of Fire branches, including Cincinnati, Zarephath, and Salt Lake City. The Lord blessed their union with a daughter, now Mary Kokosinski.

In more recent years, after the passing away of her husband, Alice Paige Blue long played a key role in WAWZ Sharathons. For some time now her health has been anything but ideal, yet she has maintained an attitude of optimism, faith, and the upward look.

On my arrival in New Jersey on March 16 for the 64th birthday of WAWZ, and other church responsibilities, I felt a concern for Sister Blue, and called her daughter on the telephone to inquire about her condition. She was facing surgery, and was under medication, but Rev. Mark Tomlin and I drove over to the hospital in Perth Amboy and had a pleasant visit and a time of prayer.

Now she has gone to join her husband in the Pearly White City, where there are no more sorrow, heartaches, or tears, and has seen her Saviour face to face. May all of us be faithful and true to the end, knowing that we shall all then meet around the Great White Throne.
